DMCA notice
Effective October 20, 2026.
ComicDuo does not host the files you open. Those stay on your device, in your own cloud drive, or on your own server. The starter shelf is published by ComicDuo, so it is not user-directed storage. This page is the designated-agent notice for comicduo.app, cdn.comicduo.app, and any later feature that stores material at a user’s direction.

How to send a notice
A notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) needs:
- A signature, physical or electronic, of the copyright owner or someone allowed to act for them.
- The work you claim is infringed.
- The URL or other location of the material, specific enough to find it.
- Your name, address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, the owner’s agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
Send it to dmca@comicduo.app or by mail to the address above. A notice that leaves out these elements may not be acted on. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
What happens next
For a starter-shelf file, ComicDuo removes the item from the content manifest and replies with the rights-log record. Installed apps hide the item on the next refresh. For a website page, ComicDuo removes or disables the material. Apple’s own process for the app binary is separate: rights holders can also write to Apple at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/appstorenotices/, and Apple forwards those to the developer.
Repeat infringers
ComicDuo has no accounts and no user uploads, so there is no user content to remove and no account to close. If a later feature stores material at a user’s direction, ComicDuo will stop providing that feature to anyone who is the subject of repeated valid notices. Every starter-shelf item is checked against its license before it is listed.
Counter notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(g) to dmca@comicduo.app. Include your signature, the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, your name and contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live (or, if you live outside the United States, for any district where the service provider may be found). ComicDuo forwards a valid counter notice to the person who sent the original notice and restores the material in 10 to 14 business days unless that person files a court action.
